Slammin Salmon in a Caper Coral

Jane Whittaker

I love appetizers and I love salmon, this really kicks it up a notch!
You can put this on a toasted bagel open faced, put it on a ritz, or wrap it up in crescent rolls and bake it, chop the onions finely for that one lol.

bagels or 2 sleeves of ritz crackers
8 oz
salmon cream cheese spread
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
hot horseradish
2 tsp
dried dill weed, divided
4 oz
very thinly sliced nova salmon
1 small
red onion, sliced very thin and broken into rings
capers for garnish, maybe 1 1/2 tablespoons

1Split and toast bagels if you are using them
2In a bowl combine the cream cheese, lemon juice, horseradish, 1 teaspoon of dill weed.
3Spread a desired amount of salmon mixture on either the bagels or your Ritz.
4Top each with a small piece of salmon, then an onion ring or 2.
5Sprinkle capers in onion rings, sprinkle dill over all.
6If you want to turn these into a hot appetizer chop the red onions finely and mix all other ingredients together. You will want 2 crescent roll tubes.
