Japanese - Dragon Roll
You are going to love the crunchy texture of the shrimp tempura in these dragon rolls. The main ingredient in a Dragon Roll is the shrimp tempura.
To cut down on prep time, I used precooked frozen shrimp tempura.
Note: NoSushi rice is a vinegared rice that is used for sushi, not regular steamed rice.
If you are new to making sushi roll, cut off ? of nori sheet and use ? sheet of nori instead of half (you will need more rice)
- cups prepared sushi rice
- japanese cucumber
- nori sheets, cut in half crosswise
- shrimp tempura*
- cup (20oz) tobiko
- unagi (eel) - optional
- spicy mayo
- unagi sauce
- black sesame seeds (optional)
- cup water
- tsp. rice vinegar
- bamboo sushi mat
- plastic wrap
