From Secret Ingredients

pinch tips: How to Peel & Devein Shrimp




1/4 cup butter, 1/2 stick
1/4 cup flour
1 cup cream
1/4 cup sherry
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound white crab meat
3/4 cup grated sharp cheese
1/8 to 1/4 t. cayenne pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

Heat butter in pan until melted. Stir in flour. Whisk in cream. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in sherry. Season with salt and black pepper.
. Remove from heat. Stir in crab meat. Spoon into a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese over crab meat mixture. Sprinkle with the cayenne pepper.
Bake at 325 until cheese melts. Serve with cracker. May substitute 8 oz. crab meat and 8 oz. chopped cooked shrimp for the 1 pound crab meat. Serves 6 to 8
