Found this in one of our news papers. I changed things a little to suit me. I like shrimp just about any way you make them..

Ingredients For bob's caribbean shrimp skewers

  • 10 oz
    medium cooked shrimp, patted dry.
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    each, cumin, ground cinnamon, ground red pepper flakes, and ground nutmeg.
  • 1/2 tsp
    each, ground allspice, ground ginger, dried thyme, and salt.
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper.
  • 6
    peppadew peppers, quartered.
  • 2
    mangos peeled and cubed.
  • 1/2
    english cucumber, cue into half moons.

    Pat dry all pre-cooked shrimp and set a side. If you have a bullet blender great. that is how I blend all the dry ingredients. Other wise mix them all together in a large mixing bowl. Now dust all shrimp in the mixture..

    On 4 inch skewers place a quartered Peppadew pepper then a piece of mango, a piece of cucumber and last 3 spiced shrimp... Place on tray and pass a round.

    Peppadew peppers are from South Africa. They are some what sweet but a little tart...
