Ingredients For chicken pecan tarts

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, or margarine
  • 1 c
    finely chopped pecans
  • 1 c
    finely chopped cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/4 c
    miracle whip salad dressing
  • 1 Tbsp
    grey poupon dijon mustard
  • 1 pkg
    (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 pkg
    (7 1/2 ounces) regular refrigerated biscuits

How To Make chicken pecan tarts

    In a large skillet, melt butter, add pecans and saute until lightly browned.

    In a bowl, combine chicken, celery, dressing, mustard, cream cheese, salt and nutmeg. Add pecans, mix well.

    Separate biscuits, roll each into a 4 inch circle. Press into foil baking cups, letting dough cover bottom and sides.

    Place baking cups in muffins pans. Spoon chicken mixture into baking cups. Bake at 425 F for 12 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

    Optional: Garnish with leaves / sprigs of fresh herbs. For a variation: Use prepared tart shells. Make the chicken pecan filling as directed above. Then place warm filling in the tart shells and serve immediately.
