Ever since discovered Chipotle in Adobo I have been hooked. I use them in every way I can and especially in grilling. We love game day at our house and I'm always looking for fun and easy appetizers. Your guests will LOVE the full flavor and original take on your common game day food wings! Get out your napkins because things could get messy :)

Ingredients For aloha chipotle wings

  • 2 lb
    chicken wings
  • 1 c
    pineapple chunks, fresh
  • 1 sm
    shallot
  • 4 clove
    garlic
  • 4
    chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    reserved adobo sauce from chipotles
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1
    juice of a lime
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c
    pineapple juice

How To Make aloha chipotle wings

    Wash chicken under cold water and set aside.

    Add all ingredients in a food processor (except chicken) and puree until smooth.

    Add chicken to large resealable plastic bag and add marinade puree. Marinade in the refrigerator for 6-24 hours (the longer the fuller the flavor).

    Preheat your gas or charcoal grill to a medium high heat.

    Remove wings from marinade and set aside marinade. Cook marinade in small saucepan over low heat until bubbly.

    Grill wings turning every 5 minutes and basting with remaining marinade. Grill until cooked through (about 20 minutes). Serve and enjoy!
