Melissa's Notes:

A friend of mine shared this recipe on pintrest. I tweaked the recipe just a little to my liking. It's one of the best ooey, gooey, cheesy bean dips I've had in a long time!

Directions

1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
2
Mix together the cream cheese and sour cream. Stir in the refried beans and taco seasoning until well combined.
3
Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Spread bean mixture evenly over the bottom of the baking dish. Top with the shredded cheese. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cheese has melted and is beginning to brown. Serve with tortilla chips.

This looks yummy Melissa. I always thought Texas trash was a recipe for a
Chex cereal mix. I have to try your recipe. Thanks

Hi all,

@Connie-you are right. There is a Chex cereal mix called Texas trash. I'm not sure exactly why this dip is called that. I got this recipe from a friend of mine on Pintrest who got the recipe from another lady and so and so forth.

@Vernell-your additions sound really good. I'm thinking about adding a can of diced chilies to it the next time I make it.
