These are a family favorite and we usually have to double the recipe for gatherings.

Ingredients For favorite stuffed jalapenos

  • 2 c
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg
    bacon bits, real bacon
  • 1/2 c
    pecan chips
  • 1 can
    pickled jalapeno halves

How To Make favorite stuffed jalapenos

    Use the Hormel Real Bacon bits, not fake stuff. Drain the jalapenos in a strainer.

    Mix the remaining ingredients. Adjust the mayo as needed to make it so it's not dry.

    Stuff the pepper halves with the mixture. Serve "as is", DO NOT BAKE or heat. PS...I sometimes soften cream cheese and use half mayo and half cream cheese. I haven't tried it yet, but I think next time I will try using roasted fresh jalapenos instead of canned, because I can control the heat level. I usually snack on the carrot slices in the jalapeno can (my little guilty sneak).
