Mix the mayo and sour cream together. Add 1/2 the bacon bits. Add 1/2 the shredded cheese. Add 1/2 the chopped green onions. Mix well in a bowl. Chill in fridge overnight or for 2 hours.
Prepare on a plate or platter, add Shredded lettuce. Then place chilled dip in the middle. Add the remaining cheese and bacon bits and diced tomatoes on top of the dip. Serve with italian bagettes, or sourdough toast, or your favorite cracker. Scoop up the lettuce and dip together. You can also use fresh veggies.This is also a nice topping for a baked potatoe
