I loved making these to take to work for my co-workers. One young girl in particular (Tomeka) would always ask me to bring them. It was worth it just to make her happy!

Ingredients For simple sausage pinwheels

  • 1 can
    pillsbury seamless crescent rolls
  • 1 lb
    jimmy dean pork (roll) sausage
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make simple sausage pinwheels

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out seamless crescent roll dough into a rectangle on lightly floured parchment or wax paper.

    Spread 2/3 of a one lb roll of Sausage onto dough within a 1/2 inch on all edges. NOTE: May use whole roll, if desired.

    Sprinkle 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese on top.

    Beginning on long side, roll dough into a log.

    With sharp knife cut log into twelve 1-inch size slices.

    Place on cookie sheet that has been prepared with cooking spray.

    Bake approximately 25 minutes until done & golden brown. Serve and enjoy!
