This is a slightly modified version of a recipe from one of my cookbooks, "Great Ground Beef."
Featured Pinch Tips Video
- 1/2 lb
- ground beef or ground sausage
- small onion, finely diced
- 1 can(s)
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 c
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp
- dried oregano
- containers of refrigerated crescent rolls
1In skillet cook beef (or sausage) with onion over medium heat; drain.
2Remove from heat. Add tomato sauce, cheese and oregano. Mix well.
3Separate crescent dough into eight rectangles, pinching seams together.
4Place about 3 tablespoons of meat mixture along one long side of each rectangle. Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with long side. Cut each roll into 3 pieces. Place seam side down on lightly greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
5Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
