fish of your choice
2 c

vinegar
1/2 c

sugar
3-4

bay leaves
salt
few whole allspice
1

medium onion, sliced
1 Tbsp

lemon juice or gelatin

How To Make mother rowell's pickled fish

Boil together all ingredients, except fish until onion is tender.

Add cut up fish and boil gently watching carefully to not overcook the fish.

When done lift out fish and add lemon jello or gelatin to juice and pour over fish
