Leslie's Notes:

These are extremely quick to make. They are great for a morning meeting or get-together!

Comments from the Test Kitchen: Kitchen Crew

Delicate and fluffy, these tasty little bites are surprisingly satisfying. The classic flavors would work well with puff pastry too. Give 'em a try!

Directions

1
Roll out Crescent rolls and press triangles together. Cut into 24 pieces. Using a mini muffin pan, press dough into pan. Mix all ingredients together. Fill crescent rolls in muffin pan with mixture. Bake @ 350 until brown (about 10-15) minutes. Enjoy!

I'll have to try this recipe. But instead of using crescent roll, it seems pie dough or pizza dough would be easier to use. Wouldn't have to go to the trouble to press the triangles together.

What about flaky biscuits. Just separate and press into muffin pan.

This recipe is similar to one using the little pan of prebaked small rectangular rolls. These are now harder to find and cost about $3.00. They are good for pot lucks, parties, and tailgating. I want to try it with the crescents.

Rebecca, my guess would be that any kind of ham would work. I don't know why not. :o)

Pillsbury now makes unperforated Crescent dough so no more pinching the seams together.
