These are easy to assemble, and make for an excellent appetizer at your next gathering. Or you could make up a batch, eat them out on the porch, and count fireflies.

Whatever you choose, they are packed with great taste.

Ingredients

PLAN/PURCHASE

1 medium
buttermilk biscuit, your choice
2 small
meatballs, precooked and about 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter
3 Tbsp
marinara sauce, your choice
2 slice
provolone cheese

6Chef’s Tip: One of the secrets to these appetizers is a good kicking marinara sauce. Choose something with some bite.

7Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 350f (175c).

8Carefully divide the biscuit in half.

9Add about a tablespoon of marinara sauce to the cut surface of both halves.

10Place a meatball on top.

11Add an addition 1/2 tablespoon of marinara sauce, to the tops of the meatballs.

12Cap with a piece of provolone cheese.

13Place into the preheated oven, and allow them to bake until the meatballs are warmed through, and the cheese has melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.
