Awesome Avocado Balsamic Appetizer

I make something similar to this using avocado and caviar. However, caviar can be expensive, and not everyone likes fish eggs.

So, I’m using some balsamic pearls in place of the caviar. And, as everyone knows… a good balsamic and avocado are a marriage made in heaven. This dish is fairly simple to assemble and gives a wonderful presentation to your holiday table.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

2 Tbsp
balsamic pearls
1 large
ripe avocado
1/2 medium
lemon, just the juice
1 pinch
salt, kosher variety
extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling

2Gather and prep your ingredients.

3Mix the lemon juice and the salt in a small dish.

4Cut the avocado pole-to-pole, and remove the seed.

5Chef’s Tip: The easiest way to remove the seed is to hit it with the sharp end of your knife, twist and remove.

6Thinly slice the avocado, and place into the lemon juice.

8Arrange half the slices on a plate, drizzle with some extra virgin olive oil, and add a tablespoon of the balsamic pearls. Enjoy.
