I made this recipe for lunch about a week ago. It took no time at all to make and was delicious . I served it with a bowl of Lentil soup.

Ingredients

2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1/3 cup of beer
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
fresh bread slices, toasted

Step-By-Step

1Toss cheese with flour in a heavy medium saucepan

2Add beer and mustard

3Heat on very low, stirring often, until cheese is melted and smooth (mixture can be prepared to this point and reheated later)

4Place toasted bread slices on a small greased baking sheet

5Spoon cheese mixture over toast, completely covering the surface. Broil 4 inches from heat until bubbly and lightly browned.

6Broiling for too long will make cheese tough
