I made this recipe for lunch about a week ago. It took no time at all to make and was delicious . I served it with a bowl of Lentil soup.

Stove Top

Ingredients

2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1/3 cup of beer
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
fresh bread slices, toasted

Directions Step-By-Step

Toss cheese with flour in a heavy medium saucepan

Add beer and mustard

Heat on very low, stirring often, until cheese is melted and smooth (mixture can be prepared to this point and reheated later)

Place toasted bread slices on a small greased baking sheet

Spoon cheese mixture over toast, completely covering the surface. Broil 4 inches from heat until bubbly and lightly browned.

Broiling for too long will make cheese tough
