Red Pepper Appetizer

The sweet and spicy flavor makes a "can't eat just one" appetizer.

You can double the amout of red pepper flakes for a zipper bite.

red bell peppers, chopped
1
sweet onion, chopped
3/4 c
white wine vinegar
3/4 c
white sugar
1/2 Tbsp
red pepper flakes

Directions Step-By-Step

Put all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cook at least 1/2 hour to reduce. Drain liquid and refrigerate for 4 hours, or better, overnight.
Spread softened cream cheese in a 9 inch pie plate shaped serving dish, pour red pepper mixture over cream cheese. Refrigerate. Take out of fridge 30 minutes before serving to soften crea, cheese.
Serve with Wheat Thins.

Right before serving. I like to stand my wheat thins in the cream cheese to form points, easy to grab and dip. Makes a nice presentation.
