pizza dough, store bought, or homemade
pizza sauce, store bought, or homemade
mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch (1.2cm) cubes
parmesan cheese, for dusting after baking
2Gather your ingredients.
3Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 375f (190c).
4Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.
5Cut the dough into 2.5-inch (6cm) circles.
6Add 1/2 teaspoon of pizza sauce to the center of each dough circle.
7Add 1/2 teaspoon of chopped pepperoni.
8Chef’s Note: You could use Italian sausage, ham, or whatever you wish.
10Fold up the edges, and pinch to seal at the top (like a beggar’s purse).
11Chef’s Tip: Dip your finger in some water, and run it around the edges of the dough circle. This will help you seal it up.
12Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
13Place in the preheated oven until nice and brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
15Serve on a large platter with some warm pizza sauce, for dipping. Enjoy.
16Chef’s Note: Sprinkle with some Parmesan and/or Italian herbs (optional).
