Classic Swiss Fondue

pinch tips: How to Grate Cheese for Easy Clean Up



2 c
dry white wine
1 lb
swiss chees, cubed
3 Tbsp
cherry brandy or dry white wine
3 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 clove
1 dash(es)
each white pepper, paprika, and ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp
baking soda
loaf french bread, cut into 1 inch cubes

Directions Step-By-Step

Bring wine to a boil. Place cheese, brandy, flour, garlic and seasonings in blender or food processor. Add wine. Cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a fondue pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is hot and bubbly. Add baking soda; mix well. Keep fondue at a gentle simmer over low heat. Serve with bread.
