Ingredients
- 8 oz packages cream cheese, low-fat, room temperature
- 12 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 ounces hard salami, sliced & diced thin
- 4 scallions, chopped (both greens & whites)
- 1 tablespoon tabasco hot sauce
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 12 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 12 slices bacon, halved crosswise
How To Make cheese & salami pinwheels

Step 1Adjust oven rack 6" from broiler element & heat broiler. Set wire rack in rimmed baking sheet. In food processor, add cream cheese & cheddar, pulse 30 seconds. Transfer to large bowl & add salami, scallions, tabasco & mustard.

Step 2Take rolling pin & roll bread slices, one at a time, as thin as you can get it. Evenly cover wih 2 tbsp cheese mixture. Starting at the short edge (if there is one), roll bread into tight cylander & cut in 1/2 crosswise & wrap each 1/2 with 1 piece of bacon, covering bread completely. Insert toothpick to keep closed. Repat with remaining ingredients.

Step 3Trasfer all to prepared baking sheet. Broil until bacon is crisp, 10 - 12 minutes, flipping once during broiling time. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
