you can use either corn meal or corn flour. for corn flour you need to add extra. Plus you can add extra spices to the dough for something yummy.

2 1/2 cmilk

1/2 stickbutter, cut into pieces

1 1/2 ccornmeal or 3 1/2 cups of corn flour (when using the flour start with 1 1/2 then go from there

1 tspsalt

1 Tbspsugar

1 cmozzarella cheese

2 Tbspoil
How To Make arepas de queso

1Bring to boil in a small saucepan over low heat the milk. Remove from heat and add the butter

2In large bowl combine the cornmeal(flour), sugar, salt, and cheese. (when using flour start with 11/2 cups and go up from there. usually takes about 2 1/2 in the end. Add the hot milk/butter mixture and let stand. cheese should melt. 1-2 minutes for soft dough to form.

3Form into 12 balls and flatten with palms into patties. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil on griddle or skillet over medium high heat. Cook arepas til cooked through and slightly brown 6-8 minutes on each side. add more oil when needed Serve warm.
