Appetizer/Potluck Simple Dish

Yvonne Ruz-Subega

I get requests for this appetizer every year, it's become a Christmas Tradition at my in-laws home. A co-worker made this for a potluck and i was hooked. That was 17 years ago and it just isn't the same without it. EVERYONE wants it and asks for it every single year. It's incredibly easy and very delicious. This dish is my contribution at my in-laws every Christmas. I hope you and anyone who tries it, loves it as much as we do. Enjoy!

pinch tips: How to Grate Cheese for Easy Clean Up

1 Hr

1 box
velveeta large box
2 can(s)
dennisons chili con carne no beans
2 can(s)
rotel tomato & green chilies, diced

Directions Step-By-Step

1 large Box of Velveeta Cheese (cut into cubes/slices) place in crockpot. Set crockpot to high then lower temperature when the cheese mixture has melted and becomes nice & hot.
Open both average size cans of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilis (i think they're approximately 10-12 oz possibly 15 oz)add to crockpot.
Open both cans of Dennisons regular size cans of Chili Con Carne NO BEANS and add to crockpot. Stir well until all ingredients have mixed together well.
Cut up french loaves (i buy sweet french bread or sliced sour dough and then i slice again). Cut the french bread in half lenghtwise down the center then another two more times down the length of both halfs then across to make small squares for drizzling fondue over. Enjoy!!!
If you would like to only make half the recipe do this: 1). 1 small box of mexican velveeta cheese, 2). 1 can of S&W mexican style stewed tomatoes , 3). 1 can of Dennisons chili con carne, no beans. 2-3 loaves of cut up french bread or sliced sour dough
