I've been going through my pantry, preparing for the holiday and came across a can of shrimp. I had a package of imitation crab as well...so, I decided to make something of the two, and a spread came to mind, as I had plenty of bread crumbs too.

This delicious cracker spread was born. Might I add, very well received. It was gone in no time.

Double for a party...delicious!
Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 c

3 - 4 Tbsp
melted, butter
4 .25 oz
can, baby shrimp - drained
3 1/2 oz
imitation crabmeat - chopped ~ or use fresh
1/4 tsp
old bay seasoning ~ or to taste
1/2
lemon squeezed
1
green onion, sliced or minced
1 1/4 c
heavy cream or enough to make mixture spreadable - i used about 1 1/4 cup
pinch
paprika ~ optional
1/2 c
shredded parmesan cheese - divided

Step-By-Step

1Mix bread crumbs with melted butter.
2Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Grease or spray a small casserole dish. Set aside.

In a medium sized bowl, mix crab, shrimp, cream, 2/3 cup bread crumbs, 1/2 Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, old bay seasoning, green onion, until well combined and spreadable consistency. If needs more cream, add it.
3Spoon into prepared dish. Top with remaining crumbs, sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with paprika.
4Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden and heated through.

Serve with lemon slices and crackers if you prefer.

Note: If you don't like combining the shrimp & crab, can use your favorite, just use 8 ounces. We loved the flavor of the combined.

Enjoy!
