A family recipe for the very best game day cocktail appetizer meatballs. Easy enough to double for larger, rowdy, hungry crowds... like mine on Packer game day! =)

Ingredients For the best darn game day meatballs

  • MEATBALLS
  • 1
    lb. ground chuck
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2
    cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1
    small onion, minced
  • 1
    tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1
    tb. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2
    tsp. salt
  • 1/4
    tsp. pepper
  • 1/2
    tsp. garlic powder
  • SAUCE
  • 2
    cups ketchup (a thick, slow pouring ketchup will produce a delicious sauce that will cling to meatballs. a thin ketchup will result in a thin sauce.)
  • 1
    cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1
    tb. worcestershire sauce

How To Make the best darn game day meatballs

    Meatballs: Combine all ingredients in a large ziplock bag. Mix until just well blended. Shape into 1" balls. Place on parchment lined, rimmed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.

    For Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook until hot and blended. Add meatballs; heat through. Serve hot with cocktail picks.
