Ingredients For italian snax

  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt or seasoned salt
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp
    italian herb seasoning (according to your taste)
  • 1/2-1 tsp
    garlic powder (to your taste)
  • 6 c
    small cereal squares (such as chex)
  • 1/2 + 1/8 c
    freshly grated parmesan cheese (not shredded; may use pre-grated if you must)

How To Make italian snax

    Line a cookie sheet/sheet pan with a layer of paper towels; set aside.

    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat.

    Add olive oil, salt, italian seasoning and garlic powder; mix well.

    Add cereal and stir to coat well.

    Continue to stir and heat for 5 to 6 minutes, until cereal is lightly toasted.

    Remove from heat, sprinkle parmesan cheese over cereal, carefully stirring to coat well.

    Spread on paper towel lined sheet pan to cool and sprinkle with remaining 1/8 cup cheese.
