I own the book "Best recipes from backs of boxes, bottles, cans and jars" And this was a recipe that went with the Chocolate Sour Cream Cake that was on the back if the Hersley's Baking Chocolate Package more than 20 years ago. How To Make hershey's chocolate sour cream filling and icing

1In a saucepan, combine the sugar and chocolate syrup. When well mixed, add the sour cream and cook over medium high heat to soft ball stage (234 degrees) Remove from fire, add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread. Add nuts of any kind for variety. Yeild 1 1/2 cups.
