|1/3 c||self rising flour|
|1/2 tsp||vanilla extract|
|5 medium||ripe bananas|
|1 box||vanilla wafers(some for layers-some crush for topping)|

DirectionsPreheat oven to 350. Mix 1/2c. of the sugar with flour in a small saucepan, blend in the egg yolks and milk. Cook, uncovered, 10-12 minutes or until thickened. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Layer wafers and banana slices in casserole bowl, (usually makes 3 layers) pouring custard mixture throughout, ending with custard. Beat egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form. Gradually add 1/4c. sugar, beat until firm. Crumble wafers over top. Bake 15-20 minutes or until top is slightly browned..
