Have you ever used fresh apples instead of the canned apples?

Yes,just peel, slice and cook them you will only need enough for the 8 crescent rolls and about 1 cup for the crushed apples to cook with the sugar and butter to pour over the top.

Hi, Faye--This recipe sounds really good, but I wonder if you would answer a couple of questions. Is Luck's a brand name? I don't remember ever noticing canned FRIED apples...PIE apples, but not FRIED. You said you could "cook" fresh apples. How would you cook them? Fry them? Bake them?

This is a wonderful recipe so quick and easy. You could slice and cook the apples in water cook just about 15 minutes probably a Granny Smith maybe 3 apples you need at least 1 cup of the cooking water left to add to the sugar and butter to pour over the crescent rolls enjoy.
