I make lots of soup and usually make extra since I have a mess to clean up I may as well cook extra and freeze the soup to have on a sandwich and soup dinner night.

Ingredients For bean and pasta soup

4 slicebacon , diced

2 mdcarrots, chopped

2 stalkcelery, diced

2 clovegarlic , finely chopped

2 Tbspchopped fresh basil[or 1 tbsp dried basil

1/2 tspdried oregano
-
1 can28 ounce stewed tomatoes

1 can540ml romano beans rinsed and drained

5 cchicken stock
-
2 cbow tie pasta or pasta of your choice

1 cfinely grated parmesan cheese

1 lgonion diced
How To Make bean and pasta soup

1In large saucepan saute bacon over medium heat, cook for 8 to 10 minutes nearly crisp, add vegetables, garlic and herbs.

2Pour tomatoes into a bowl and break up tomatoes into smaller pieces,,add tomatoes to saucepan, the beans which have been rinsed and drained and add the chicken stock, simmer add salt and pepper

3Add pasta to saucepan and cook until done to your liking about 10 minutes....serve with parmesan cheesesprinkled over top.
