Not for the health nuts...cholesteral A bomb!!!DELICOUS..my Nana used to make it when times were hard during the depression (1930's)and salmon was cheap...she made homemade bread everyday,and her kids took lard and sugar sandwiches to school on homemade bread[;

Ingredients For nana's depression era salmon soup

  • 1 can
    pink salmon (not as good w/fresh];)
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 3/4 stick
    real salted butter
  • 1 can
    whole milk (poured into empty can)

How To Make nana's depression era salmon soup

  • 1
    Melt butter...add salmon (deboned and skinned if you like)simmer until mushy.add slowly while stirring can of condensed milk,and fill that can with whole milk...let cook ,never boil...slower the better...delicious...I add salt!!!pepper
