pecan scrabble

My dad was a cook before there were (celebrity) chefs. He made the best food. He came up with this recipe, long before there were recipes for all types of Chex mix. This has no Chex in it, but the concept is similar. Would make a perfect Super Bowl snack or any other time too.

For the rest of the DRY ingredients, add as much of what you want of each one...Corn Kix, croutons, pretzels, peanuts, parmesan cheese, and the Bugles.

Add 2 cups of pecans to the mix.
  • 5
Season with salt and pepper, a few drops of Worcestershire, and a few drops of the soy sauce.
  • 6
Pour the melted butter over everything.
  • 7
Pour the entire mixture onto a cookie sheet (you may need more than one).
  • 8
Bake for one hour, turning the mixture twice.
  • 9
Remove the mix from the oven and LIGHTLY sprinkle some season salt on it (don't use too much as the mix already has salt in it).
