This recipe was given to me by a lady at my Bible study. It calls for peanuts but I have used sliced almonds and I also tried with macadamia nuts and replaced the raisins with craisins. You can get as creative as you like with this recipe!

Ingredients For granola bars

  • 3 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c
    virginia peanuts
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    sunflour kernals (unsalted)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk (14 oz can)

How To Make granola bars

  • 1
    preheat oven to 300 line cookie sheet with parchment and spray parchment with no stick spray.

    In large bowl combine oats, peanuts, raisins, sunflowers and cinnamon and mix together. Melt butter and add sweetened condensed milk, stir till well blended. Add butter mixture to the oat mixture and mix together.

    Press mixture onto parchment lined cookie sheet use a rolling pin sprayed with no stick spray if needed. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes than cut into bar size pieces. Store in airtight container.
