Toasted Pecan can be served by themselves in a dish or stored for later use. I especially enjoy adding the Worcestershire Sauce, butter and garlic powder to them. BET YOU CAN'T EAT JUST ONE.

Ingredients For toasted pecan halves - a great taste

  • 4 to 5 c
    shelled pecan halves
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • garlic powder to your taste

How To Make toasted pecan halves - a great taste

    Pre heat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter in 9x13 metal pan. Add Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to taste (not too much), pour in pecan halves and toss with spatula to coat with butter mixture in pan (butter must be melted). Toss every 10 to 15 minutes to check if pecans are toasted well enough. Could take up to 45 minutes according to the meatiness of the pecan halves.Make sure they are toasted well by flipping and tasting. Spread out on a cookie sheet covered with four thickness of paper towels. Let cool completely and sprinkle lightly with seasoning salt to taste.

    When completely cooled, store in an air tight container to keep fresh.
