This recipe was given to me by a friend from Guadalajara. It is a mild,very tasty treatment of carrots, and is a perfect foil for a spicy main dish.

    carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    minced parsley or cilantro

How To Make tasty carrots baked in milk

    Place carrots in a buttered 1 and 1/2 qt casserole. Cover with a mixture of the milk, sugar, salt and pepper. Dot with butter and sprinkle with parsley or cilantro.

    Cover the casserole tightly with foil or a lid and cook in a 350 degree oven for one hour, or until carrots are tender when pierced.
