sesame stir-fried green beans with almonds

This is a great side dish. I use it as my main dish and serve a salad and parsely potatoes with it. Blue Lake green beans are good to use.

Ingredients For sesame stir-fried green beans with almonds

  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame oil (a little goes a long way - you can always add more if you desire)
  • 2 lb
    stringless green beans (you want young ones, about the thickness of a pencil, or cut them lengthwise in half)
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make sesame stir-fried green beans with almonds

    In a large skillet, saute green beans in both oils over medium high heat for about 7-10 minutes. Beans should be tender crisp.

    Stir in almonds, salt and pepper, and serve.
