Ingredients For stewed sauerkraut

  • 30 oz
    can sauerkraut
  • 3 Tbsp
    caraway seed
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 md
    onion, sliced
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 md
    potato, grated

How To Make stewed sauerkraut

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients except potato in a saucepan. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, until onion is transparent. Stir in potato. Just bring mixture to a boil, cover. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 4-6 servings.
