Ingredients For baked beans

  • 1 pkg
    navy beans
  • flour to coat stewing beef
  • 3 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 3 pkg
    stewing beef cut into 1" chunks
  • 1 pkg
    short ribs (bone in)
  • 2 can
    (29 oz. each) bush country style brown beans
  • 1 can
    water
  • 6 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 4 tsp
    dry mustard powder
  • 1
    small bottle of ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    onion powder or dried minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 bottle
    louisiana hot sauce

How To Make baked beans

    Soak beans overnight in water, drain in the morning and rinse thoroughly.

    Brown flour covered beef in frying pan using oil accordingly
  • 3
    Dump into crock pot
  • 4
    Put in the rinsed Navy beans, the 2 cans of Bush Country Style brown beans, add one can full of water and remaining ingredients, stir well. cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

    Let cool and reheat in the morning for another 4-6 hours.
