This is a recipe I fix when I'm tired and just want something simple and good. My husband use to make me fix this 4-5 times a month when we first got married

Ingredients For the old standby

  • THE OLD STANDBY
  • 3-4 md
    baking potatoes cubed and boiled (as for potatoe salad)
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 sm
    onion diced finely
  • 6-8
    hot dogs
  • 2 c
    grated cheese (i use colby/jack)
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 can
    condensed cream of mushroom soup

How To Make the old standby

    Cook potatoes until done. Drain add butter and onion and set aside.

    In a medium bowl add soup, milk, hot dogs, and mustard
  • 3
    Combine potatoe mixture with hot dog mixture in a round casserole dish. Cover Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes remove from oven add cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted
