EVERYONE loves this recipe I got from my Mother (I can't remember which book she found it in). They love it so much it's been nicknamed "Crack Casserole!"

    sharp cheese, shredded
  • 16 oz

How To Make hashbrown casserole

  • 1
In a large mixing bowl you will combine hash browns, sharp cheddar, sour cream, onion, cream of chicken soup, and one stick of melted butter. I also add salt & pepper to preference.
  • 2
In a small mixing bowl you will add crushed corn flakes (I usually pour the corn flakes in a large baggie prior to putting in the bowl and crush with a rolling pin) and the remaining stick of melted butter.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour potato mixture into casserole dish. Take your corn flake mixture and sprinkle across the top of the potatoes. Pop it into the oven for an hour and it's good to go!
