Ingredients For creamed peas and new potatoes

  • 15 sm
    new potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c
    fresh peas (1 to 1 1/2 lbs in shell)
  • 3 Tbsp
    sliced green onions
  • 4 tsp
    butter (or margarine)
  • 4 tsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 dash
    salt

How To Make creamed peas and new potatoes

    Scrub potatoes; pare off narrow strip of peel around center of each. Cook in boiling salted water 15 to 20 minutes; drain.

    Meahwhile; cook peas and onion in small amount of boiling water 8 to 15 minutes; drain.

    Make a white sauce of butter, flour, salt, and milk. Combine vegetables and sauce.
