Ingredients For southern touch dressing

  • 3 box
    jiffy cornbread -- prepared by directions; then crumbled and set aside.
  • 4 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 lg
    onion -- diced
  • 1/2 clove
    garlic -- minced
  • 1 lg
    bell pepper -- diced
  • 3
    stalks of celery -- chopped
  • 2 can
    chicken broth
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Tbsp
    sage -- may add more or less; for your desire.
  • 2 tsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground black pepper

How To Make southern touch dressing

    Prepare the cornbread

    Preheat oven to 350
  • 3
    Add butter, broth, onions, bell peppers, garlic, and celery to sauce pan until veggies are tender.

    Stir veggies/broth and cornbread mixture together.

    Mix in cream of chicken soup, garlic, poultry seasoning, pepper, and sage.

    Blend with a potato masher until the mixture is the consistency of gelatin.

    May need to add more broth as necessary to attain desired consistency.

    Transfer to a baking dish and bake in preheated oven or until golden brown.
