Being raised in a Preachers home, there were a lot of Evanglistic pastors, Missionaries, Church families passing thru town. Our house seemed like Grande Central Station at times. No matter how many people invited in for a meal, Moma could always find something to put together for a meal, even when the cup boards were almost bare. I remember this one Sunday Dinner. Mom had made a roast, steamed tatters, baked beans and a Yummy Pear Salad. Out of all the dishes she prepared that day, the pear salad was the first bowl to empty. If you want a quick and easy tasty salad to add, this is it!

Ingredients For yummy pear salad

  • 2 can
    whole pears, drain
  • 2 pkg
    room temp. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c
    mircle whp
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar

How To Make yummy pear salad

  • 1
In a jar with a lid, put the mircle whip, sugar and milk. Put on lid and shake to disolve these ingredients together.Set aside.

The cream cheese may have to be nuked a little in the micro-wave to make stirable. Then in another small bowl, add the jar liquid, with the cream cheese and stir with mixer on low. Should have a consistancy of smooth texture.

Last, in a medium size bowl, add the pears. I like to use the whole pears. Take one pear and slice into 3 portions length ways. Then cut into chunks.(Bite size chunks).

Now pour the liquid mixture over the pears. Stir with a wooden spoon to mix well, but to keep from brusing the fruit. Cover with a lid, or foil and refrigerate until serving time. Stir right before you add it to the table. Taste yummy! * You can also use Splenda in place of sugar. And at holidays, I often add Marshchino Cherrys to make colorful. Enjoy~
