My cousin Linda from Tulsa, OK first made this many years ago. I requested the recipe and have been making it for office parties and family gatherings ever since. It is often requested by my co-workers. It is simple and inexpensive to make and so yummy! Great with crackers or veggies.

Ingredients For tuna pate

  • 1 can
    can tuna in oil, 6-oz size
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp
    tarragon, dried
  • 1 sm
    onion, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • chives for garnish, optional

How To Make tuna pate

  • 1
    Drain tuna. Blend with remaining ingredients except chives. Mix well with an electric mixer (very important!). Turn into serving dish; top with chives and chill until firm. Note: Tuna in water in not recommended. Makes about 3 cups.
