Ingredients For homemade chunky barbeque sauce

  • 2 lg
    onions, chopped
  • 2 stalk
    celery, chopped
  • olive oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 lg
    apple, chopped
  • 1 lg
    tomato, chopped
  • 2 bottle
    catsup
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar

How To Make homemade chunky barbeque sauce

    In a saucepan fry the onions in a little olive oil for 5-7 minutes until soft. Add the garlic, tomatoes and apple and fry off again for another 5-7 minutes until the apple has softened. Add the remaining ingredients, stir so it is well combined, bring to the boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
