Ingredients For cranberry fruit relish

  • 1 c
    dried apricots
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    rasins - golden seedless
  • 3
    apples, granny smith
  • 1
    orange rind grated
  • 1
    lemon rind grated
  • 1/2 c
    ginger, crystallized, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper flakes, dried, restaurant type
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 bag
    cranberries, 12 oz bag each

How To Make cranberry fruit relish

  • 1
    With a pair of scissors, cut the apricots and ginger in very small slivers and reserve
  • 2
    Peel, core, and dice apples.
  • 3
    Place rasins, apples, apricots, brown sugar, cranberries, and water into a large sauce pan and simmer till cranberries are tender
  • 4
    Then add the lemon rind, orange rind, ginger and pepper flakes to the hot mixture and cool.

    This will keep well in refrigerator for a week and freezes very well in freezer containers. Try adding some on apple pie or apple dessert.
