If you don’t want to make barbecue sauce from scratch but you still want the smoky heat of the chipotle peppers, use a blender to puree 3 chipotle peppers in adobo with your favorite bottled sauce. 2 (28) ozcan crushed tomatoes

1 cpure maple syrup

1 cpacked light brown sugar

6chipotle peppers in adobo, diced

2white vinegar

1/2 cworcestershire sauce

1 capple cider or unfiltered apple juice

juice of 4 lemons

8 clovegarlic, peeled

4 Tbspcolman’s dry mustard

4 tspsea salt

4 Tbspfreshly ground black pepper
How To Make chipotle maple barbecue sauce

1Combine all of the ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and stir to combine

2Bring the sauce to a boil over medium-high heat.

3Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce is thick and reduced by about a quarter, 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool slightly
