Being this close to the Gulf means shrimp all year long. Plus they are really economical, when your not land-locked. those of us that are really thrifty and enjoy catching our food, go to Clear Lake and catch the shrimp ourselves. Clear Lake is 1/2 salt water and 1/2 fresh water. So you can catch pretty much anything there.

Ingredients For layered shrimp dip

6 Tbsppace salsa, divided

1/2 ccocktail sauce
-
1 (8) ozpackage of cream cheese,softened
-
18 to 20 smcooked plain salsd shrimp

1 cansliced ripe olives, drained
-
1 cshredded cheddar cheese
-
1 dashshredded jack cheese
-
1 bunchdiced green onions
-
tortilla chips
How To Make layered shrimp dip

1Combine cream cheese and 3 tablespoons salsa. Spread in the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate.

2Combine cocktail sauce and remaining salsa. Spread over cream cheese

3Place shrimp evenly over the top of the cocktail sauce mixture.

4Sprinkle olives over the top of the shrimp.

5Combine the cheeses and sprinkle over the olives. Top with onions. Chill

6Serve with tortilla chips.
