I don't usually measure the red onion amount exactly, so just take a look through the directions first. I love to get fresh fruits and veggies here in Hawai'i so the pineapple and mango are delicious when added to the guac!!

Ingredients For hawaiian guacamole

  • 1
    avocado
  • 1
    red onion
  • 1
    jalapeno
  • 3
    chunks of pineapple
  • 3
    chunks of mango
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt (optional)

How To Make hawaiian guacamole

  • 1
Cut the avocado in half and scoop out the insides.
  • 2
TIP: I find it easiest if you score the avocado a few times. It helps it scoop right out.
  • 3
RED ONION: Cut the onion into small pieces, more like a mince. You only need to chop as much as will fit in your cupped palm. Then add this to the avocado.
  • 4
Dice the jalapeno and add to the avocado. Some people prefer to leave the seeds out, I use the entire pepper.
  • 5
Dice the pineapple and mango and also add that to the avocado.
  • 6
Add the garlic salt and mash it all together. Serve with tortillas and enjoy!
