hamlin's white dip

Unless you are from Eastern Oklahoma area, you probably haven't ever tasted a dip like this before. Hamlin's, a Mexican restaurant in Muskogee, OK makes and serves this dip along side chips and salsa and sells it by the quart jars! I don't know if this is the original recipe but it sure comes close! I got this recipe in the early 90's.

Ingredients For hamlin's white dip

  • 1 jar
    real kraft mayo
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1
    small block of blue cheese or tub of blue cheese crumbles
  • 1
    large dill pickle
  • 5
    green olives
  • 1/2
    medium white onion
  • milk for thinning

How To Make hamlin's white dip

    In the blender, add pickle, olives, and onion. Blend to a dip consistancy. Add the blue cheese, vinegar and mayonnaise and blend.

    Add milk to thin. Keep refrigerated.

    I use about a 6oz block of cheese. This recipe is a little vague. Hamlin owners probably wanted to keep it that way! However, it is worth trying! Yum! Adjust the cheese as you like, but the blue cheese is strong after it sits overnight, so don't over do it! ha
