Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, divided
  • 1 - 15 oz cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
  • 1/4 cup water
  • GARNISH:
  • 2 scallions, chopped (both greens & whites)
  • salt & pepper, to taste

How To Make garlicy bacon hummus

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat until crispy; drain on paper towels. Reserve 3 tbsp bacon drippings. Chop all into bits & reserve 3 chopped slices for garnish.
  • Step 2
    In food processor, pulse chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic & bacon drippings until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Add 5 slices bacon, water,1/2 scallions, salt & pepper; pulse until combined.
  • Step 4
    Garnish with remaining bacon & scallions.
